Plant Cell Diagram Labelled with Its Different Parts

Cells that are present in green plants, photosynthetic eukaryotes of the kingdom Plantae are known as Plant Cells. A plant cell is the basic unit of all plants. There are very similarities between the plant cell and animal cell. Both plant and animal cells contain a nucleus along with similar organelles. One of the major differences between plant cells and animal cell is the plant cell is the presence of a cell wall outside the cell membrane.

Anyway, in this article we are going to see Plant Cell Diagram with its different parts. This labeled diagram of plant cell will help you to better understand the internal structure of the plant cell. This diagram will be very helpful for class 6, 9, 10, 11, and 12 students as they can easily understand and draw this.

Plant Cell Labelled Diagram with different parts, Diagram of Plant Cell, Plant Cell Drawing for class 5, 6,7, 9, 10, 11, 12

As you can see in the above diagram, the plant cell has the following parts,
  1. Cell Wall
  2. Cell membrane
  3. Central Vacuole
  4. Golgi Apparatus
  5. Golgi Vesicles
  6. Nucleus
  7. Druse Crystal
  8. Raphide Crystal
  9. Plastids
  10. Cytoplasm
  11. Ribosomes
  12. Mitochondria
The cell wall is a rigid layer that is composed of polysaccharides cellulose, pectin, and hemicellulose. The cell wall is located outside the cell membrane. The primary function of the cell wall is to protect the cell and provide structural support to them. The plant cell wall also protects the cell against mechanical stress. It also filters the molecules passing in and out of the cell.

Many plant cells contain one or more large vacuoles. Vacuoles are nothing but storage organelles that enable them to attain a large size without accumulating the bulk that would make metabolism difficult.

Plant cells can be distinguished from most other cells by some other factors such as the presence of chloroplasts, which are also found in certain algae. A chloroplast is nothing but a plastid that is also surrounded by a double membrane that serves as the site of photosynthesis. We know that photosynthesis is the process by which energy from the Sun is converted into chemical energy for growth.
